Finish a Story

The object of the game is to construct a valid, and perhaps humorous, sentence. No one knows what the sentence is -- we're making it up as we go.

NCS will start. I transmit a word, the first word in a sentence. Then the next operator will add a word to the sentence and transmit the two words to the next operator. The next operator will add her word and transmit all three words to the next operator.

This is a variation of Build a Sentence, but instead of building a sentence we are going to build a story.

An operator starts by transmitting an incomplete sentence. The next operator finishes the sentence and then transmits the beginning of the next sentence, building on to the story.

Winlink Home

Some agencies will require you to send messages on their behalf using an ICS-213 form. In addition, some Winlink nets will ask you to reply using an ICS-213 form. Regardless, you should be familiar with the steps to send a message using a form, especially the ICS-213.

	* Launch Winlink Express.
	* Click on Message, and then New Message
 * This window functions almost exactly like a regular email message.

	* In the To: field, enter the call sign of the Winlink operator to whom you are sending the message. You can also enter a regular email address, like somebody@gmail.com.

Winlink Home

New unread messages in your Winlink Inbox will appear in a bold type. You can reply to any message.

Checking into a Winlink net is identical to replying to a Winlink message. Just make sure you read the net preamble (the Winlink message you receive opening the net) very carefully and follow the directions of the net control station with exactness.

Yaesu radios are arguably the most popular Amateur Radio radio on the market. They certainly rank right up there as far as reliability and usability with the other big brands like Kenwood and Icom.
