Teton Dam Marathon 2021

Madison County ARES is looking for volunteers to provide communication support for the Teton Dam Marathon. The event takes place on June 5,2021, with the first event beginning at 6:30 AM at the Teton Dam Site. Additional information about the event can be found here: Rexburg Races

Operators will staff one of 14 checkpoints beginning at the Teton Dam site and along the 26 mile course near Newdale, Teton, Sugar City and finishing at Smith Park in Rexburg. Operators will communicate bib numbers to a net control station as runners pass their location, assist race officials with various duties (such as situation awareness), and provide the participants with an element of safety by relaying emergency communication if needed.

Radio operators are required to hold a valid FCC Technician class license, but opportunities exist for non-licensed volunteers as well.

If you would like to assist with radio communication on Saturday, June 5, 2021, please complete the Google form at this link: Google Form
